FASHION VS. FARMERS – KERRY FASHION WEEK

FASHION VS. FARMERS – KERRY FASHION WEEK

We at Macbees don’t normally follow the herd, but this season we’re making an exception to promote the eighth Kerry Fashion Week and the magnificent Irish Fashion Industry Awards on Friday March 4th. These prestigious awards celebrate everyone working in the Irish fashion industry – from emerging talents to well-known names. What better way to mark this event than by using the quintessentially Kerry background of the Castleisland Co-Op Mart to showcase the latest trends, combining two of Kerry’s passions – fashion and farming (we’ll save football for next year!).

Kerry Fashion Week and the Irish Fashion Industry Awards is sponsored by Image magazine and has become the most prestigious fashion event in Ireland promoting emerging fashion talents. Showcasing in the past names such as Umit Kutluk, Natalie B Coleman, Emma Manley, Helen Steele, Una Burke, Don O’Neill, Laura Jayne Halton, Delphine Grandjouan, Colin Horgan, Niamh O’Neill, Sinead Doyle and many more.

To celebrate this years Kerry Fashion week we’re styling space-age metallics, rainbow brights and clashing prints in the glamorous surrounds of the Mart. We had so much fun with Mags Kelliher on the shoot and she almost ended up getting involved in the bidding.

Above is the slick couture styling of Spanish brand Fely Campo, perfect for a high octane other of the bride. Worn here with a 60s inspired statement piece from the amazingly talented Carol Kennelley. Below Mags is wearing a polished cotton shirt dress from Parisian fashion House Weill, she definitely got plenty of attention in this little number!

Excitement is gathering for the event and we can’t wait to see the show.

Good luck to all involved!
